It IS Time To Get Back To The Sculpting Desk!!!

You know, now that I have a very good brand new computer, working on line has been almost fun. I have been able to communicate with my Webmaster with ease, chatting and emailing without any hangups of waiting, it is all very smooth. We are getting everything done. Okay cool...

With all of the real world effort coming to an end, and BME being almost ready for the public, I am very much looking forward to actually SCULPTING again! I am very glade that I purchased all of the goodies I need to make TOMORROW BLACK all that it is in my head.

I am approaching The $6.000 mark, this year in expenses.

Shopping is fun, we all like to buy neat toys and gadgets...however, I have a hell of a lot more enjoyment in just listening to my music, thinking alone in my little studio, and playing with Metal & Putty.

Setting Up Shop Part 2

My cute little Brother Printer shipped last night. I got the paper, a 10' USB cable for the printer, and some other office supplies this week too, now I ave a collection of grownup toys.

I am working on setting up content for every page of The BME & TOMORROW BLACK Websites until we open for business in December.

This is almost fun now...

Setting Up Shop...Almost Done...Dammit!

There is a lot to do when setting up a business, but I am almost done now. This week I am setting up The Emporium Shop which means that I get to figure out all of the little settings at PayPal. I have The Shopping Cart set to calculate Shipping & Handling based on the order amounts, but The Shipping Calculator will not adjust the shipping cost for larger orders...lol.
Read Instructions, Adjust Settings, Test, Hope it works the way they say it will work, and if not repeat process. When that little thing is figured out and we are all happy all I have to do is to take good pictures of the products, order a New Printer or cute little Label Printer, and set up my USPS Account to pay for shipping via The BME PayPal Account. When I figure all of that out, Test It and we are happy, I can get back to cleaning up Master Castings, to send to Mike so IWM can make more Production Molds, Cast more models, and after I pay them, I can add more products to The BME Shop.

I...am...almost...done...Dammit...I...am...Almost...Duhhh.

The BATTLE MINIATURES EMPORIUM & TOMORROW BLACK  Websites are now open for review and bookmarking. Currently the Domain is TOMORROW BLACK . COM for both, but I will have my super Web Team point the old BATTLE MINIATURES EMPORIUM . COM to the new site too.

I am opening the site now for reviewing and bookmarking only. The Pay Pal Store is set up, but I am not ready to start taking your orders just yet. Mike is getting one of his "Good Casters" to work next week, and I should have models in my hands and ready for sale by December first. 

I am posting this news only here, on the down low for now, just for My Cool Ass Brothers who have all supported WAR ART. Glertchech Boss One & A Restructured Murg War Crew

I am doing my final planning for Master Mold Two and looking ahead to Master Mold Three.

I thought that I was done with The Murghaste War Crew, but as I worked on the final details it became apparent that the short thick guy was looking less like his fellow M.U.R.G. Brothers, and more like a large Glertch.

 

  
After giving this Happy Accident serious consideration I have decided to indeed change things around. This brings my Heavy Cannon Model that would have been the first Murghaste Death Trooper back to my sculpting desk, as the third and final member of War Crew One.

Now that I have the models set as a trio (oddly enough for the first time) I think that this is a much better grouping. I do not know what I was thinking, but at the time it seemed important to have the tough little bustard in the mix, to give the Murghaste Raiders some diversity...in this case it did not work.

With that decision made, now what should I do with the odd Murg out?

He gets some details changed and he becomes the first Glertch Boss model I think...

Okay then...lol...problem solved and it's back to sculpting!

HOOKAH EXPERIENCE PROJECT: Part 2 (Opening Night)

I have COMPLETED The HOOKAH EXPERIENCE MURAL...More or Less. It is done for now. So this is how it looked on Opening Night. (As always, if you click on the images they get bigger).



So there it is, after 1 day of planning, 1 day of drawing, 5 days of painting, and 2 days of inking. This is the first large scale work that I have done in many years, so I discovered that it is like breathing, you remember how to do it, even if you think you are out of practice, it comes right back...lol.

It was fun to hang out on Opening Night with friends, and see people enjoying the lounge.

Seated to my left is Charlie, the owner with his father directly across from me, and the big guy across from Charlie is my good friend Joe, who is the guy that more often than not takes me to the post office and takes pictures of my big happy dumb ass while out in the field on missions. Note the devilish grin on this cool old fellow...probably why we are friends.

Charlie and I have an agreement between friends that he will pay me monthly and that I will come back to do a little work on the slow days, to make this mural look even better. We waited until crunch time, because he had to get the wall done, and let it dry, so I did not start working until 2 weeks before opening date, but it got done enough to look okay...for now.

I took on this project to get my new computer paid off, and since I had to wait for my turn to come up in the que at IWM, I figured I may as well help a friend and make a little bit of extra loot, so it is all good I think.

I had fun, got paid, and got reacquainted with my very old friends, the brushes and the paint. Tis Coolio indeed.

HEP Part 1

HOOKAH EXPERIENCE PROJECT: Part 1

I Have been working on a Full Wall Mural for a friend and local business owner who is expanding his company by opening a Hookah Lounge in his second location, which is just minutes from a bustling college.

I have been working on this mural since last week, while I wait for my people at Iron Wind Metals to get my Production Castings ready...

Here is a peek at the wall from a few days ago.

Thank You October!

October and Autumn in general have always been good for me. This year I was finally able to start most of the preparations for opening BME, and sent my first models off for final Production on the 13th of October.

In late September I purchased my new computer, which arrived just last week. This sexy little machine will be a great tool for all of the work I want to do to publish my new art and books for TOMORROW BLACK. One major reason that I have been having problems with building the BME Site and getting content done to the level of quality I want, is that my old computer simply could not do what I needed it to do.

I was able to buy some very cool models this month too. I have wanted several of these for some time. The best models being the new HO Scale Subway Cars, and the wonderful little Sidley The Spy Plane, for one of my Forgotten Places Projects. Neither of these models had been available (in my area, or at all in the case of the subway) until Sept/Oct.

I am happy, it is my time of year, and I am just about ready to get back to work...
