TOMORROW BLACK SERIES 2 Almost Ready...

Brothers I laid out everything last night, to see where I am with Master Mold Two, I was surprised to find that I do not have a full mold's worth...yet. I was pretty sure that the Bulliod would finish it off. As you can see, even after I add the large base for the Bulliod, it is not going to be as heavy as Master Mold One was.

I am going to keep working and see where I am at in another week say. Mike and the main crew at IWM are going out of town for the first week of this glorious, and wonderful October, so this little "Hey Big Joe, You Ain't Done Yet!" surprise is rather appropriate. I suppose everybody needs a week off now and again.

You can see how Heavy Master Mold One was, when compared with Master Mold Two.
It is only prudent for me as a Lone Wolf Company to be very greedy with this money eating mold space. I need to finish up some other bits anyhow so I have a good motivation here with this situation so that I can cram this next Master Mold to HEAVY Status...Kinda Funny.

NAC DEATH STRIDER WIP Preview 2

This damn thing is going to kill me, or I am going to kill it! I have a hell of a lot of work to do yet...but the next stages of sculpting will be the FUN part!

A Word On Design. I am making certain that this deadly machine will LOOK LIKE it can actually carry a sturdy human pilot in full battle armour. I am pretty sure that the body for this model will be produced in resin...of course Mike has the final say on that.

REAL Warter Effects Videos

Looking ahead again to future Terrain Projects for TOMORROW BLACK, I found this cute video at Woodland Scenics about making REAL looking water, it gave me some ideas and I am definitely going to buy the products used in this demonstration.

Other Woodland Scenic Instructional Videos are available at their main site.

PRODUCTION MOLD 1 Preview

I have The First Production Mold set up now Brothers. These models are for Abominations Of Dark Science Collection One. Each of these Collections will consist of six Monsters. This collection includes 1 Base of Murg Imps, 1 Grizzought, 1 Death Digger, and 3 Rattle Wings

Production  Mold 2 will be for The MURG Flies I think. I am going to sale them in a nice Swarm and the little rascals will take up a loot of room, so they will get their own full mold.

The Dead City Part 1

I am thinking again about building Terrain as I get more of my Miniatures done. Soon I will be able to actually play small games, so I need to do a bit more planning. Looking ahead at what I want to build for ancient cities I see some of them as Tech Jungles more or less, which are completely overgrown and wild, dangerous and long forgotten.

The easy way to do this sort of thing, I think, is to use GCM's Foam Board Buildings.
I knew about these foam board models via TMP News for some time, but until this week I had not given them much thought, because they are very base components with no detail. I had the forest for the trees mentality about doing large buildings to make up a full tabletop.
"Hey Joe if you want Green Buildings you should use base shapes rather than detailed models...dummy."
Yeah. Of course, the details come from the lovely greenery and odd little bits like rusted girders and massed vines clinging and crawling up the structures!

Funny that the simplest and most efficient answers can elude you for a time...

I am going to order a few of these to fill in my city, and do some Hero Models to pretty-up the overall look of The Dead City Board.

Dead Frontier A Fun Distraction.

I just found out about Dead Frontier tonight from a good friend. I am sure many of you know about this game already but it is brand new to me, as i do not fuck about on line to much with games like this. I did play for a bit tonight, and it was fun as a break from my regular game work.

Check it out Brothers.

Business & Bullets

I had a Business & Bullets chat with IWM Mike tonight. The business side is that he is going to be out of town on the first week of October. This is likely going to effect my 13th opening for BME.
I am going to see what I can do about this.

As for The Bullets. Mike helped me figure out the best way to sculpt the bullets and some other items for my Heavy Weapons Sets. If I am careful I can do some very nice bits, that will cast up properly.

You know it is a lot of work to make good bullets in this scale...Crazy Work!
I Love IT!

INTO THE UNDER Part 1

I am looking ahead with this article, but since I intend to build a terrain board for THE UNDER next year, I am starting to slowly collect the raw models and other building supplies for this project.  I found a new model of a lovely 1/87th scale MTA (New York) Subway Car. I have wanted to buy a model like this for about a year now, but the damn things are VERY expensive. I'm talking about $300 for a few cars now...Wow. The reason of course is because these are working trains, which I like but do not need for building terrain in this wonderful scale.

I picked up two of these models for just $35.

The models are sold out for the next few weeks, but mine should arrive by mid October, according to an email that I received today from their sales rep. These little toys are very much a Cornerstone for part of my Under Terrain Table, and I am very happy to have found good looking models at such an affordable price.

Note: The art in the above comp was done by a fine fellow at DeviantART, apologies for not remembering his name.

Financial Paperwork DONE!

Oh Joy, Business Paperwork!
Yeah I know...it has to be done.

I have set up new Bank and Pay Pal accounts this week, and as of tonight they are both live and ready to go. This is just another step towards my goal, and I am glade it is done.  I paid a great big $5 to get "Happy Skull" put on the new BME Bank Card...Ha, ha! I am going to edit Happy so that there is a wide screen view of black around him, this will mean that my entire BME Banking Card is black with Happy smiling right there in the middle of it all.

DEBIT...IF YOU PLEASE.

I just had to...

I also had a good chat with Mike Noe this week and we doped out the best way for me to pay him for all of the Production Castings. I am going to buy YOUR MODELS from IWM by the pound, with a small per spin fee. This is the best way to make it affordable for me to bring YOU a fair price for all of my (our) metal.

I am getting everything done Brothers.

I  do NOT "Wonder if it's worth it to carry on"...but there IS a Price to pay,  when you actually do anything that IS worth a fuck.

Getting The Metal Ready

I am cleaning up all of the Master Castings this week, for The Production Molds.

I have decided to get IWM working on Production, as well as the new Series Two Sculptures this month.
Mike tells me that they can zoom up a simple Production Mold in a day, but I want to be sure that we have Productions Castings in hand ASAP, rather than waiting until October first to do this...YOW!
This extra time now will speed up the process for opening The BME Shop in October.

TRIBALS: BULLIOD WIP Preview 2

Bulliods are the common Trekking Beast of The Nomads, They are also used by other Travelers Of The Waste. Bulliod Herds roam over the vast plains of The Forgotten Places.

A Word On Design. This is the Body Blank Version of this model. I am going to convert it into at least three posses to make a nice unit of Mounted Nomads.

I am going to try to get this model in Master Mold two...by next week.

Getting Ready For Another Post Office Run!

This week I am going to drag out my little CD Tower and layout all of my completed Sculptures and see where I am. I will probably have another nice full mold's worth of work. I think I am just about ready to go to the Post Office again...on The 13th Say.

The Eleventh Hour!

This is the month of conclusions for several of my projects! I intend to open BATTLE MINIATURES EMPORIUM on the 13th of October. I have a few things to do yet, but it WILL all get done.
I would like to thank the good people that have been active here at WAR ART.  The comments and encouragement you have been posting are of great value to me! You will all be remembered when I process your orders.

Your Brother In 15MM
