I recently got back in the mood to work on this crazy bitch. She is starting to look something like what I imagined her to be...now.

I am working on her Familiar too, and should have the complete set done this month, with some of my other older models.

RATTLE WING Completed Sculpture Preview

The Dead Cities are home to many dangers. NAR and The Nation rarely go there, and this fact gives one a beguiling sense of confidence, at least in that they feel certain the Jetters and other Flying Machines will not waylay them on their travels. This is foolish thinking for there are often creatures above you...waiting in the corpses of decayed buildings, roosting in the twisted girders, watching you.

Rattle Wings are a Dark Science Race which all but rule in The Upper (more on this later) and in remote subterranean places.

Rattle Wings, also known by the slang Bat-Snakes, are an Evil race that hunt all Mammals, especially Feline and Rodent Manamals and Humans, for their Food.

The average Rattle Wing is about 9'6" in length, with a wing span of 9' and weighs around 90lbs. Rattle Wings have a base intelligence equal to that of a Human child, and maintain a Lethal Hierarchical Society, wherein the most  cunning and physically capable dominate the lower classes.

Rattle Wings are terribly agile and powerful. When these beast attack it is likely to come from above at first as they glide down to rip with their horny wings and bite with their terrible maws. If the victim is not dead after this, the wicked creatures will lash their powerful tails around the prey and attach their fore claws and wretched teeth into the flesh, and wait for the meat to bleed out.

Dark Manics employ Rattle Wings as a part of their bestial servants, equipping the foul things with  Fused TECH. More on this later.

A Word On Design. I have designed the base connection for this model to accommodate two means of posing your Rattle Wings. You can bend the tail to the rear and mount the figure in an Advancing Pose by gluing the Belly Pin into the mounting hole on the Base. The second pose is an Attacking/Hovering stance where you would have the tail forward with Spine Pin glued in place. When you have the pose set just clip the unused second pin off your model. To achieve further verity you can gently bend the wings into whatever position suites you.

BIO TITAN WIP Preview 2

I have been in the mode to work on my bigger models this month, because they need a hell of a lot of work, and I want to get them done this year. You can expect regular updates on these works.
I started the base for The Bio Titan and the arms. The arms are just wire at this point, and I have some brass sheeting cut to do some sexy base details like ruined walls and similar battlefield debris...but not to much to document at this time. I will post all of these components in Preview 3.

This is a collection of art that I am looking at for inspiration and musculature reference. Please keep in mind that I am NOT doing The Bio Titan to look just like this art. I am sharing these images with you to give you a bit of flavor and a general idea of what I am doing.

BIO TITAN WIP Preview 1

I have been working on a number of larger scale figures and vehicles that I have yet to share with you. The main reason for this is because these sculptures have been sort of a catch all set of back burner projects which receive left over putty here and there. When a nightly batch of epoxy begins to become to firm for my liking as I work on the tiny details of my small pieces I add form to my large models. I do not like to waste my supplies so I use up the putty on these back burner projects.

I have slowly developed a few of these larger models to a workable Base Shape over the last six months, and as a result I am more inclined to begin focusing on some of my BIG Monsters and Vehicles. The first of these are going to be my Manic Widow-Mech Tech-Hybrid; The Bio Titan, and The NAC War Strider.

Here is a look at the base form for The Manic's Titan, with some basic work done on two of it's Heavy Weapons.

I wanted to have a few very large models in The TOMORROW BLACK Range, and this guy will be the first of them. I love the idea of a model that can toss a tank over or pick up a typical humanoid in one hand...that is some fun gaming in my book.

A Word On Design. I am going to keep the head and arms as separate components for this model, so that I can have some diversity in the look, without sculpting more than one of these Mold Hogging figures, and beside how many of these terrifying things do you need on the tabletop...no more than one or two I should think.

MANIC WIDOW WIP Preview 1

"Manic Widows know far more than our Elder Fathers have forgotten, we owe thanks to The Ghost Father that they are insane... for if not,  they would rule all of Mankind."

Manic Widows are The First Born Daughters of Human Females who have been exposed to The HTX-06 Compound, in it's pure and terrible form, and where somehow able to resist the physical mutation which flourishes in Human Males. The Child of such a Rare Mother is gifted of virtually unlimited mental prowess. In time these girls become young women capable of great Benevolence or Dominance. Thus are these women a blessing or a curse to all mankind, for in time they have the power to inspire and protect or discourage and kill entire armies of Lesser Minds.

A Word On Design. There are several types of Manic Widows. I will post more info for each of them, as I work on the sculptures for each class. This sculpture represents the Siren Class, whom can call forth animals and other beast to do their bidding.
